Duke Edwardsport - Asset Drop Down list for manual case creation

A manual case creation requires an "Asset ID" that requires knowledge of the ID for each asset. The case manager knows the name of the person, not their login ID.  A dropdown list is also a better user experience.

    Don, a dropdown would likely result in a massive list that the user would then have to scroll through. Is this really what the customer wants?

    My description of the issue requires more explanation. The customer should be able to “search” based on keynotes of the asset ID. For example, the following is Dukes asset, if the customer types Gen, Generator, or CT1 a dropdown list is provided to select a choice

    CT1 Gen
    ID:761X014
    Classification:Generator
